Five easiest games on the 2024 Tampa Bay Buccaneers schedule

Following the schedule announcement for the 2024 NFL season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers enter the season with the fifth weakest schedule with an average winning percentage of .478, easier than last year, when they had the 11th weakest schedule with a .483 winning percentage. Despite some tough games down the road, the Bucs’ schedule isn’t hard at all, and they should win more than the nine wins they had last season which was enough for them to win the division in a mediocre NFC South division.

The 5 Easiest Games in the 2024 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Schedule

Week 17 vs Carolina

The easiest game by far in Tampa Bay’s schedule comes in Week 17, when they play the Carolina Panthers at home. The Panthers go into the season as the worst team in the NFL, finishing the 2023 season with a dreadful 2-15 record and on pace to perform similarly next season. They also enter the season with a six-year playoff drought and an eight-year divisional title drought, and it doesn’t look like they’re going to break the streaks any time soon.

A bit on the brighter side for them, they do have an extremely talented quarterback in Bryce Young who could be the centerpiece of their rebuild in the upcoming years. However, as bright as the future looks, the present is a different story. Young has little talent to throw to in a receiving corps led by veteran wideout Adam Thielen, and an offensive line that allowed a team-record 62 sacks last season. This game should be an easy win for the Buccaneers in what would be the second-to-last game of the 2024 season.

Week 13 @ Carolina

There’s nothing much to say here that hasn’t been said before. The only reason this game should be a little tougher than their Week 17 matchup is that the Bucs play on the road on this one, whereas they host the Panthers in their Week 17 affair. This should also be an easy win for the Tampa Bay squad.

Week 3 vs Denver

The Denver Broncos had one of the most underrated drafts in 2024 as they improved their defensive line with the likes of Jonah Elliss and John Franklin-Myers, but they also drafted Oregon quarterback Bo Nix with their first-round pick in a move that left many fans scratching their heads, as they had previously traded for New York Jets former quarterback Zach Wilson.

They enter the season with a significantly worse roster compared to last season, as they lost important players in quarterback Russell Wilson and safety Justin Simmons. They have improved their defensive line, but it seems like they have regressed in every other aspect of the game. They allowed an average of 370.8 yards to opposing offenses last season (29th in the league), including 137.1 rushing yards per game (30th), and allowed 24.3 points per game (27th). It doesn’t get any better on the offensive side, where they ranked 26th in total offense (298.4 yards per game). Another easy win in the bag for the Buccos.

Week 1 vs Washington

The Washington Commanders are one of the most improved teams in the league with the acquisition of former Heisman winner Jayden Daniels and linebackers Bobby Wagner and Frankie Luvu but remain sluggish otherwise. They will likely improve on the 4-13 record they had last season, but it probably won’t be enough for them even to make a push for the playoffs. The lack of talent in their roster, as well as the fact they play in Tampa, will give the Buccaneers an easy matchup at home they should have no problem winning.

Week 12 @ New York (Giants)

The New York Giants lost their best player, Saquon Barkley, to division rivals Philadelphia Eagles. They improved their offense with LSU product Malik Nabers, but it remains far from competitive. They have their hopes set on Daniel Jones to perform and help the team make a playoff push, but that seems unlikely given the recent lack of success and little change on the roster. Expect this to be an easy win on the road for Tampa Bay.
